Roland J. Grob, Sr.

Roland J. Grob, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the age of 92. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor and Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Roland very proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a hard-working architect for many years, and a former resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was also a very loving and dedicated husband, father, brother and Poppa. He is already so deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Roland leaves behind his sweetheart of almost 60 years, Elaine Entremont Grob; daughter Geralyn “Geri” Davis (Sporty); son Roland Grob, Jr. (Johannie “Joey”); sister Shirley Capone; brother Earl Joseph “EJ” Grob Jr; grandchildren Mandy Barlow (Brandon), Olivia Davis, Brett Davis, Ryan Grob, Brock Davis; two great-grandsons Blake and Brayden Barlow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, Leah Miller Grob and Earl Joseph Grob, Sr.; sisters Evelyn Culotta and Earline Grab. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Reggie Holloway, Crystal Jackson, Lakeisha Martin, Ellie and Mark Guillory as well as North Oaks Hospice for their special care and friendship. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation and Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Father Cayet Mangiaracina will officiate the service and interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Condolences and more information can be found online at www.thompsoncares.com.
