Georgiana Couste Emerson passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the age of 93. She was the cherished wife of the late Arnold A. Emerson. Loving mother of Elaine E. St. Angelo. Daughter of the late Emile and Georgiana Mayer Couste. Sister of the late Frank, Rick and Emile Couste. Proud grandmother of Michael St. Angelo, A.J. St. Angelo Jr. and Melissa St. Angelo Harker. Great-grandmother of Casey St. Angelo, Jake St. Angelo, Michael St. Angelo Jr. and Kyle St. Angelo. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Georgiana was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where she raised, loved and cared for her family. She will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a loving friend, who treasured her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in her memory beginning at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
