Ralph Roy Acosta passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at 8:15 a.m. at the age of 77. Beloved son of the late Louise Roberts Acosta and Richard Acosta, Jr. Loving brother of Barbara Acosta Perez (the late Ralph), Corby Anthony Acosta Sr. (Janice), and Marlene Acosta Schoenberger (the late Morris). Preceded in death by brothers Johnny August Acosta and Irvin Joseph Acosta, maternal grandparents Catherine Evans Roberts and Robert August Roberts, paternal grandparents Christina Molero Acosta and Richard Acosta, Sr. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and relatives who loved him dearly. He served his country admirably in the United States Air Force 12th TAC Fighter Wing in Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam, where he received the Air Force Commendation Medal and the 1970 Airman of the Year award. He was a native of Delacroix Island, LA, and of Los Islenos heritage. He was retired from the United States Government, Internal Revenue Services as a Computer Specialist. He was a resident of Slidell, LA. and a faithful member of Saint Luke Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA. Funeral Services will be private.
