Florence Wuertz Battaglia went to her final resting place on May 7, 2020 at the age of 91. She was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Battaglia, and is survived by her three sons, John (Paulette), Sam (Sheila), and Henry (Vicki). She also leaves behind eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, funeral services will be limited to the immediate family members only. She will be sadly missed by those that knew her and loved her. A special thank you goes out to New Century Hospice for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
