God’s Angel, Loretta Rose Nunez Lalumia, a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish, gained her wings on June 30, 2020, after a very short but aggressive battle with esophageal cancer at the age of 82. She was the loving mother of the late Aldo Lalumia, Brett Lalumia, Roxann Picou (Kirk), and Rhonda Bordelon (Jimmy). Proud grandmother of Ami Lalumia (the late DJ Corkern), Kristi Ladut (Trey), Jake Bordelon, Jared Bordelon, and Payton Picou. She was the great-grandmother of Brady, Bailey, and Gavin. Sister of Merle Laviolette, Sandy Taffaro, Nancy Prattini, and Margaret Favre. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, the late Peter Manuel Lalumia; by her parents, the late Ernest and Rose Ford Nunez; and by her siblings, the late Barbara Greco, the late Kay Nunez, the late Ernest Nunez, Jr., and the late Rita Blanchard. Loretta was loved dearly and will always be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. A visitation and funeral mass was held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W.
