Michael Raymond Hearty entered heaven on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 12:59 a.m. at the age of 66. He fought a courageous battle with cancer since 2018. He believed, one day, a cure would be found for others and made clinical donations to MD Anderson for cancer research. Mike loved his wife of 44 years, Pamela Troxclair Hearty, with all of his heart. He adored his children, Michael P. Hearty and Michelle H. Dubos (Jonathan M. Dubos). He cherished every moment shared with his family, friends, co-workers and pets. Mike enjoyed walks, running, boiling crawfish, horse racing, football and Las Vegas. Everyone that met Mike loved him. He was always willing to help anyone and never expected anything in return. He truly did things out of the kindness of his heart. Mike was a devoted, generous person who put others first. He made numerous donations to charities, organizations, schools and churches. Mike was born on April 8, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to St. Bernard Parish during his teenage years. He graduated from Chalmette High School in 1972 and was a sponsor for Sigma Delta Chi Sorority. He attended University of New Orleans from 1972-1975. Mike worked for D.H. Holmes (1970-1977), South Central Bell Telephone Company (1977-1986) and BOE-TEL Corporation (1986- 2008). He achieved numerous certifications and training in telecommunications. Mike proudly became the owner of BOE-TEL Communications, LLC in 2008. He made life-long friends through work and cared deeply for his employees. Mike was preceded in death by his dear parents, the late Michael Albert Hearty and the late Cleo Krennerich Hearty. He is survived by his loving sisters Patty Ann Hearty and Cathy Hearty Estopinal, his nieces, Jenny Abshier and Becky Baiamonte, and his nephews, Robert Estopinal, James Estopinal and Mark Abshier. Mike was the son-in-law of the late Eddie P. Troxclair and the late Joyce S. Troxclair. He was the brother-in-law of the late E.J., Susan (Harry), Deborah (late Larry), Ronnie (Sharon) and Craig (Susan). Mike is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved. Mike walked by his faith and was a Trustee Member of Christ Lutheran Church. He also attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church. Relatives and friends attended a visitation , followed by a funeral service in Michael’s memory at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
