Wilson Joseph “Bill” Molero, Jr. passed away on January 4, 2021, surrounded by his family, at the age of 74. Bill was born on June 14, 1946 to Wilson Joseph Molero, Sr. and Annie Cecilia Webber. He grew up in Chalmette, LA, and spent his youth hunting, fishing, and boxing. After graduating from Chalmette High School, Bill spent two years serving honorably as a medic in the Army. After his service, Bill returned to New Orleans and his wife, Carol Ann Schultz. He worked for over fifty years at Bergeron Motors, managing the Parts Department. Bill and Carol had three children: the late Wilson Matthew Molero, Matthew Lyell Molero, and Alyssa Bentley Molero Landry. He was active as a little league football coach at Wentwood Playground for many years. After retiring, Bill spent his time reading, enjoying his family, and teaching his grandson Owen Patrick Landry to play chess. He was beloved by his family, supportive of his friends whom he viewed as extended family, and never missed an opportunity to make a bad joke. Bill is survived by Carol, his wife of 53 years; children Matthew and Alyssa; grandson Owen; sister Mary Anne Fraychineaud, brother-in-law Courtney Charles Fraychineaud; nephew Warren; niece Theresa and her family. The immediate family will have a small private service now and will raise a glass with extended family and friends when it is safe for larger gatherings. In lieu of flowers, tell someone you care for that you love them, and then make them watch a John Wayne movie.
