Sonya Gilligan Meyers went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 69. Sonya was a resident of Chalmette, where she lived with her beloved husband of 15 years, Wilson Meyers. She was a native of Longview, Washington, where she was born to parents, George and Ella Gilligan and siblings George (Peggy) Gilligan, Thoie (Bruce) Lefebvre, Cohen Gilligan, and John (Marie) Gilligan. She was the dearly loved mother of Lee (Christie) Regnier, Keith (Linda) Regnier, Selena Eskew, and Kristie (Ron) Bergeron, and grandmother to Ella and Evan Bergeron. She was step-mother to Angela and Melissa Meyers. She was step-grandmother to Jordan Kellogg, Kayla Arron, and step great-grandmother to Tate Kellogg. She also leaves behind many other dear friends and relatives. Sonya will be laid to rest among her parents and daughter at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in a private graveside service on Friday, February 26, 2021.
