Betty Jane Berry, known to her friends as “BJ,” went to be with the lord on Monday February 22, 2021 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Harry E. Berry of 40 years. Daughter of Evans and Betty Burkett. Mother of Ronda Thompson and Janeen Rush. Also survived by one brother and six sisters. “BJ” spent her life working for the United States Federal Government, holding various positions that she enjoyed. She retired after 40 years of dedicated service. In addition to her husband, parents and children,”BJ” also leaves to cherish her memory are five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A Visitation and Celebration Service honoring the life of Betty Jane “BJ” Berry was held at Charbonnet Family Services, 4917 E. Judge Perez Dr., Violet, LA on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
