Gloria Chetta Melerine entered enteral life on March 11, 2021 surrounded by her family at the age of 90. Gloria was born on March 14, 1931 to the late Frank Chetta and Katherine Perez. She was a dedicated employee of South Central Bell Telephone Company for 37 years. She actively participated and enjoyed her friends at The Council on Aging St. Tammany in Slidell since 2005. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence E. Melerine Sr. for 59 years. Loving mother of Sharon Reyes (wife of Bernard), Debbie Livaccari (wife of Russell), Marsha Landry (wife of Roy) and Clarence Melerine Jr. Sister of Edward Perez, Olga Rogers, the late Anthony Chetta, Frank Chetta, and Mathilda Lally. Proud grandmother of Sherri, Brandon, Ross, Shane, Rochelle, Clay, Clinton, Cody and the late Rusty. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren. She was a loving, kindhearted, and caring mother. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 19, 2021 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA.
