Edgar “Buck” Lawrence Brown passed away at his home on Monday, June 6, 2016 at the age of 61. He was born on September 13, 1954 and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He spent the majority of his 61 years in Violet, LA. Edgar loved his parish, his general community and for all that it stood. In his lifetime, he was so many things to so many people; but most notably, he was a 1972 graduate of St. Bernard High School, a wonderful athlete and coach, dedicated outdoorsman and an extremely talented craftsman. He will be forever remembered as a loving and dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He had the kindest and gentlest of souls and was never without a smile. Edgar was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Joseph Brown, mother Melba Rousseau Brown, father-in-law, Glenn Nunez and grandson, Jody Clesi. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda Nunez Brown, devoted daughter, Tiffany Brown (Robbie) and two beautiful granddaughters, Haley Sensebe and Jenna Clesi, the son he never had Vince Petric, his little sweet pea Peyton Petric and his only godchild Kalli Nunez. He was dearly loved by his mother-in- law Audrey Nunez Phillips (Melvin), sisters Sharon Borden (Al) and Mary Brown Fanz, sister-in-law Bridget Petric (Marco), brother-in-laws Glenn Nunez (Gina) and Chet Nunez (Wendy) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Edgar is also survived and deeply missed by his furever friend Camo. Edgar was an active member of the “Bull Camp” hunting club where he spent a great deal of his time. He loved the camp, the woods and the comradery of his friends who were plentiful as he never met a stranger. In addition to his passion for hunting and the outdoors, he shared an equivalent passion for wood and craftsmanship. His talent was extraordinary and will live on in so many homes across St. Bernard Parish and surrounding areas. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home in Chalmette, LA on Monday, June 13, 2016. Interment was private.
