Michelle Theresa Pierce Cronin

Michelle Theresa Pierce Cronin passed away on December 31, 2021 at the age of 44. She was born on August 19, 1977. Survived by her beloved husband Robert "Bobby" James Cronin Jr. and son Brett Daniel Cronin whom she loved with all her heart. Born at Methodist Hospital in New Orleans, raised primarily in Chalmette LA, but she would often tell me about her time as a small child traveling around with her parents who were professional ballroom dance instructors who visited places such as Hawaii and Las Vegas, NV. Yet, there were the times spent with her grandmother's family in the "country" as she liked to call it Lockport and Cutoff, where she enjoyed many summers. A proud graduate of South Lafourche High School as well as taking a few semesters at Nicholls State University, she was right on track until she met me, and, once we did, our lives would never be the same. Raising one son (and sometimes each other), we made it work for 26 years. They say it's the little things in life that you fail to recognize until it's too late, but I'd like to think that we took advantage of every moment we shared together. Married, divorced and married again, but never apart. She would often brag it's one thing to get him once, ladies, but to get him twice was a true sign of love and devotion which we have carried for each other throughout time -- a love that will continue until the end of time itself. We will meet again on another plain of existence where she will know me and shall rejoice that is what she always believed. I can only hope it's true. She was my Wild Irish Rose, five feet, five inches, red-haired, blue eyes and a bundle of dynamite. Spirited and full of life, she made me a better man. Everyday by pushing me to do better than I believed I could myself, and, for that, I'll never be able to show my appreciation except by carrying her memory with me always in my heart for she hath brought love and life into my soul and for that I will be forever grateful. To the many friends and loved ones whose lives she has touched may she always be in their thoughts and memories because as long as they live on then she will never truly be gone. Michelle had a great love for all things in New Orleans, LA, where we spent much of our time enjoying the many festivals and sporting events this great City has to offer. Her passion for the Saints was second to none; win or lose, they were always her team who she affectionately called "The Heart Attack Kids." From beignets and coffee in City Park, a Hurricane at Pat O'Briens in the Quarter, to a roast beef sandwich dressed in gravy up to her elbows from Rocky & Carlo's in Da Parish, these were just a few things that perpetuated her love for the city and surrounding areas. There is little else to say after 26 years of growing and changing together other than there has been a great light extinguished in my heart and for that my world shall forever be a darker place. Forever my love. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette LA on Saturday January 29, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. noon.
