Thomas Carbone, Jr., of Carriere, MS, went to eternal rest, on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the age of 76. A native of New Orleans, LA, he was preceded in death by his parents, Gaetano Carbone and Amelia Nehlig Carbone; and his loving sisters, Amelia Carbone Beals and Josie Carbone Scriven. Left to cherish and fulfill his memory are his wife of 55 years, Patricia Verges Carbone; his daughter, Angelle Carbone; his son, Tony (Paige) Carbone; three cherished grandchildren, Anthony (Brooke) Carbone, Magen Carbone, and Thomas Carbone; two cherished great-grandchildren, Trinnity and Weston Carbone; and numerous nieces and nephews. During his years of hard work and endless dedication to his family, he was a sportsman at heart, seafood business owner for 30 years, and home builder. Fishing and hunting in those special places in St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parishes brought his family and friends close to his heart and table. The family would like to express their immense gratitude to the Scriven family and to Kare-In-Home Hospice for their tender loving care and support. Contributions may be made to the Picayune Rotary Club for their annual fishing rodeo, P. O. Box 1152, Picayune, MS 39466. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 21, 2017 in Slidell at the Fire House off Carr Drive in Slidell, near the lakefront.
