Darrell Alton Ready passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the age of 59. He was the beloved husband of Teresa San Marco Ready. Loving father of Mary Elizabeth Ready and Victoria Ready Martinez (Omar). Son of Alton and Annie Hill Ready. Son-in-law of Mary San Marco and the late Christopher San Marco Sr. Brother of Kevin Ready (Delinda). Brother-in-law of Christopher San Marco Jr. Grandfather of Harrison Martinez. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his two nephews, one niece, along with many cousins, relatives and friends. Darrell was born in Pascagoula, MS and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed a long career as a pipefitter, along with working for True Value Hardware and McDonalds. He also enjoyed his membership with the Krewe of Endymion. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched. Relatives and friends attended a visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, June 13, 2017, followed by a funeral service in Darrell’s memory.
