Gerard Keith Simone, Sr. of Mandeville, LA passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the age of 60. He was born on Monday, December 17, 1956 in New Orleans, LA to the late Frank Simone and the late Edith Egan Simone. Keith is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Garcia Simone and his two children Gerard Keith Simone, Jr. and Brittany Kay Simone. He is also survived by his brother Frank Simone and wife Elise, as well as a large extended family. He is preceded in death by his cousin Vanessa Melancon. Keith grew up in Arabi, LA and graduated from Chalmette High School. After graduation, he began his career with Jefferson Parish Sheriff ’s Office. Throughout his 38 years with JPSO, Keith led a successful career and achieved the rank of Major and Commander of the Narcotics Division. He was a highly decorated officer and well respected by the entire JPSO family.
