Justin Sellers Gutierrez passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the age of 43. Beloved son of Sal Gutierrez Jr. and Lois Seither Gutierrez. Grandson of the late Estelle and Melvin Seither and Mildred and Sal Gutierrez, Sr. Loving brother of Kristen Gutierrez Bendich (Mike) and John Gutierrez (Jennifer). Uncle of Katie Whelan, Ellie Bendich, Elijah Gutierrez, Michael Bendich, and Eliza-Mae Bendich. Nephew of Daniel and Myra McKeever. Cousin of Glenie Kennedy and Dawn Johnson. Lifelong friend of Mary Hand. Justin attended Jesuit High School and the University of New Orleans. He was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity and St. Dominic Men’s Emmaus Retreat Ministry. He was a former host of Sports Rap on WTIX Radio and an avid Saints Fan. Also he leaves behind his beloved dog Maggie. Relatives and friends attended the visitation and funeral mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017.
