Maxille Gremillion Mayeux passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Clyde J. Mayeux for 52 years. Loving mother of Deborah Granberry (Paul), Linda Fraychineaud (Charlie), Michael Mayeux (Shawn), Cheryl Mayeux and Wayne Mayeux (Tina). Daughter of the late Thomas and Mercedes Bordelon Gremillion. Sister of the late Thomas “T.J.” Gremillion and Everett Gremillion (Frances). Proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Maxille was born on October 4, 1927 in Moreauville, LA. She was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a current resident of Mandeville, LA. Maxille loved to travel with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She will be forever remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and making everyone feel special and loved. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attended a visitation and funeral mass held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, October 9, 2017.
