Sarah Shoemake passed away at her home on December 30, 2017 at the age of 54. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Elijah Perry. She is survived by her mother Normita Kalade, and her father Gene Evans Jr.; brothers, Gene Evans III and Todd Evans; daughters, Sarine Shoemake Perry and Lena Ellzey, and son, Donald Johns. She was the grandmother of Jayden, Amiyah, Malaysha, Elisha, and Levi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Sarah was a life long resident of St. Bernard Parish. Those who knew her, knew her love for friends and family. She was part of a local church and was a believer in Jesus Christ. She tried to be there for people any way that she could. Services were held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Delacroix Hope Baptist Church, 1932 Bayou Rd., St. Bernard, LA 70085.
