Thelma Joyce Schenck, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born on October 1, 1939 in New Orleans, LA to the late William Schenck and the late Thelma Linden Schenck. Thelma is survived by her nieces and nephews Laurie Pellissier (Louis, Sr.), Joe Schenck, Jr. (Kelly), Pamela Laviolette (Randall), Patricia Hoffman (Robert), William Schenck, Jr. (Daynelle), Michael Schenck (Trena), Craig Schenck (Kathy), Susan Nelson (Fritz). She is also survived by her sister-in-law Olga Schenck and many great nieces and great nephews who will miss her dearly. Thelma is preceded in death by her step-father Edwin Donald; her brothers Joseph Schenck, Sr. and William Schenck, Sr. (the late Jeanette); her sister Carol Schenck; and her niece Peggy Schenck. Thelma grew up in New Orleans, LA and Chalmette, LA before moving to Lacombe, LA in the mid- nineties. She worked as a legal secretary for Shell Oil, where she spent her entire career before retiring. Thelma was a devoted Lutheran and caretaker to her family and beloved pets.
