Peter Raymond Youngblood, III, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Poplarville, Mississippi. Mr. Youngblood was born December 27, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Peter Raymond Youngblood, II and Leodosia Brosette Youngblood. He was a longtime resident of Chalmette, Louisiana and was a respected member of the New Orleans Police Department with 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard for 16 years. He moved to Poplarville, Mississippi, his beloved "Mayberry" after Hurricane Katrina. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his adored wife Mary Ann Youngblood. Left to cherish his memories are his devoted daughter, Chemin Pitre and her husband Kenny; one son, Peter Raymond Youngblood, IV; three dear siblings, Maureen Youngblood, Elizabeth Canik, Patrick Youngblood; four precious grandchildren, Matthew Pitre, Peter R. Youngblood V, Sadie Pitre, Joshua Youngblood; one special great-grandson, Emmett Pitre; a host of extended family, New Orleans Police Department family; and his friends from St. Bernard Parish. Pete will be sorely missed by all who knew him - "Cheers in Heaven!"
