Raymond Anthony Fourtunia, Sr., born October 8, 1944 in New Orleans, entered his eternal rest on January, 21, 2018 at the age of 73. He was the loving husband of Velma Fourtunia. Father of Raymond Fourtunia, Jr. (Carol), Tony Fourtunia, (Kim), Danny Fourtunia, Sr., Dawn Fourtunia Asevado (Randy) and Chad Fourtunia. Grandfather of Raymond, III, Ashley (Jonathan), Kaylyn, Randy, Jr., Kolby, Anthony, Jr., Brenden and Danny, II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuella Puig Fourtunia of New Orleans, and Arthur Fourtunia, Sr. of Venice, Louisiana, and his mother-in-law, Velma Englade. Raymond was known to be a jack of all trades, and worked as a carpenter for Wyndham Worldwide for 21 years. He was a proud husband and father and was never happier than when he was fishing with his grandchildren and son-in-law. A visitation and mass was held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701. W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette, on Friday, January 26, 2018. He was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens with military honors.
