On Monday, July 25, 2016, we prayed for a merciful transition, and we believe that Jesus came, took Thais Antoine Schick by the hand, and led her home at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of Philip E. Schick, Jr. for 62 years. Loving mother of Thais Ann Schick Faust (the late Terry Faust), Doris Schick Bordelon (Gary Bordelon), Scott P. Schick, Laurie Schick Myers (Frank Myers), and William P. Schick (Shannel-Fiance). Daughter of the late William Antoine and Annie Arthur Antoine. Sister of Deanna Antoine Nash (Donald Nash). Beloved Mamaia of Ryan Faust (Jessica), Nathan Faust, Rachel Schulz (Kenny), Jeffrey Bordelon (Trisha), Justin Bordelon (Maggie), Joelle Graham (Ian), Matthew Myers, Victoria Myers, our Eternal Valentine Marissa Gabrielle Myers, and Harmony Clayton. Great Mamaia of Callie, Alyssa, Amelia, Noah, Alaina, Madilyn, Adalyn, Emily, and Wyatt. Also survived by her lifelong friend, Carmella Melerine, her beloved puppy Rosie, and a host of family and friends. Relatives, friends of the family, and members of “The Club” were invited to attend the funeral services at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, July 28, 2016. Interment followed in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Following the funeral services, a celebration of Thais’ life were held at the Buccaneer Villa Club House, 8330 Patricia St., Chalmette, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care with special loving thanks to Clarke, Linda, Barry, Monica, and Bro. Leon Dunn.
