Mildred “Milly” Nicklaus entered her eternal rest on Febraury 27, 2018 at the age of 85. She was the loving mother of Charles Lawrence (Cheryl), Katherine Vicknair (Steven), James Lawrence (Jean), and the late Deborah Ataya (Hisham.) Beloved grandmother of Chuck, Jimmy, Kaci, Jenny, Stephanie and Chad. Great grandmother of Sarah, Evan, Madison, Emmalyn, Colette, Tess, Jackson and Mila. She also leaves behind her beloved “grandpups” Mac, Timber and Ellie. She is survived by her sister Carol Haskins, and her sister in law, Ann Nicklaus. Aside from her devotion to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Milly loved reading, gardening and crocheting. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to ALL employees of Heritage Manor of Slidell and Notre Dame Hospice for their dedication and exemplary tender care. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA at 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held in Milly’s honor at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
