Samuel J. Salvage Sr. passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Darlene Garcia Salvage for 31 years. Loving father of Mary Elizabeth Spears (Dave), Samuel J. Salvage Jr. (Peggy), Barbara Ann Pulcini (Joseph) and the late Darlene Drews (Alex). Son of the late Joseph Salvage, Sr. and Grace Caruso Salvage. Brother of Rosalie Pietri (the late William), Joseph Salvage (Marye) and Vincent Salvage (Gilda). Proud grandfather of Eric Larsen (Irene), Gary Larsen (Nora), McKayla Damon, Mary Elizabeth Damon, Catalina Rachel Pulcini, Olivia Ann Juarez (Jesse), Alicia Elizabeth Franco, Sarah Paulina Pulcini and Grace Marie Pulcini. Great grandfather of Violet, Elliot, Felix, Gabriel and Emilia. Also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Samuel was born on November 25, 1941 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and an avid LSU fan. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 2820 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
