Octavia L. Marquez Dibuono passed away at her residence on March 27, 2018 in Denham Springs, LA, at the age of 68. Octavia was born in New Orleans to Pauline and Nace Lamonte, Sr. on August 12, 1949. Married to the late Nick Dibuono, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and reading on her favorite chair, at her home. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She worked and retired from Murphy Oil, in Chalmette, Louisiana. Octavia is survived by her children, Arthur J. Marquez, Jr. and Brian Marquez; step-children Nick Dibuono, Jr., Cheryl Sasser, Julie Green and Michele Canepa; grandchildren Cara Marquez, Regan Marquez, Addison Marquez, Jessica Dibuono, Allison Sasser, David Sasser, Katie Green, Nicholas Green, Cade Canepa, Callie Canepa, Kayla Bourgeois, Justin Dantzler and Meghan Dantzler; and great-grandchildren Emma Rae Wildey, Michael Bourgeois and Conner Bourgeois. She is also survived by her sister, Josephine Cooper and brother Nace Lamonte, Jr. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Carmella Petitiful, Diane Lamonte, Rosemarie Labrona, Cecilia Hoffman and grandchild, Josh Dibuono. A visitation was held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 704 W. Virute St., in Chalmette with a Mass in her honor afterward. She was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
