Louise Serigne Evans, wife of the late Anthony Evans, Sr., passed away on April 8, 2018 at the age of 91. Daughter of the late Bernard Serigne and the late Leonicia Gonzales Serigne. Mother of Anthony Evans, Jr, Cheryl Evans Thomas (Bill), Sandy Evans Puig (Donald), and the late Bernard Evans, and Douglas Evans. Grandmother of Sharon Evans, Ronald Evans, Christine Thomas Griggs, Margaret Thomas Manning, Lloyd Thomas, the late Douglas Evans, Jr., Amy LeBouef; Faith Justice; Jessica Puig Nix and Nicholas Puig. She was a lifetime member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church family and enjoyed her days at the St. Bernard Council On Aging (COA) Senior Center, visiting and playing Bingo. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., in Chalmette, from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. with a Mass in her honor at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
