Juanita Theresa Raimer Louis peacefully entered into eternal life on April 13, 2018 at the age of 86. Born in New Orleans on June 22, 1931. A former resident of Chalmette and Prairieville, LA, and current resident of Marrero, LA. Devoted wife of the late Richard J. Louis for 63 years. Loving mother of Richard M. Louis, Barry A. Louis, Robyn A. Louis and the late Randy P. Louis. Mother-in-law of Diane Hueschen Louis and Margaret Vizier Louis. Grandmother of Melanie Sibley, Jeffrey Louis, Sr., Leslie Ruiz, Kristy Behan, Joshua Louis and Jennifer Louis. Great grandmother of Antonia Asher, Calista Asher, Jeffrey Louis, Jr., Nathan Louis, Evan Louis, Harper Ruiz, Trevor Behan, Abbey Behan, Tyler Louis Gonzalez, Noah Louis and Emily Louis. Preceded in death by her parents, Eva Mary Thompson and Linden John Raimer, Sr. and her sisters, Gladys Bianchini, Olga Costa, Eva Miller, Adeline Wartberg, Althea Lato and her brothers, Linden Jr., Allen, Albert and Lawrence Raimer. Survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was a very loving, sweet and caring person who was always there to help her family in any way. She so much enjoyed spending time with her family especially during the holidays or special occasions. She touched so many lives with her kindness and goodness. She retired as a school bus aide for St. Bernard Parish Public School Board. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Passages Hospice in New Orleans for the compassionate care provided to their loved one in her final days. Relatives and friends attended a visitation and funeral mass held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, April 19, 2018.
