After his retirement from Kaiser, he operated the crane for Hall-Buck Marine and yet another retirement. A hard worker, Jack was also a capable carpenter, specializing in finishing work. After moving to Chalmette, he became a parishioner of St. Mark Catholic Church and a member of the Marksmen Club, serving as president for a term. His list of friends grew. Family and friends were welcomed to join in celebrating the life of a remarkable man at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd in Chalmette, LA, on Monday, June 25, 2018, followed by a noon Mass celebrated by Father Bob Masset.
