Michael Wallace Engelhardt passed away on July 27, 2018 at the age of 36. He was the proud and beloved father of Landin Michael Engelhardt and Kilynn Alexis Engelhardt. Son of the late Wallace John Engelhardt and Eileen Selkin Engelhardt. Brother of Letitia Baillio (Hugh), Janice Gill and the late Theresa Alleva and John Engelhardt II. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Michael was born in Metairie, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed a career in Air Conditioning repair. Michael found joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life, hunting and fishing with friends and spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, his caring and loving spirit, the way he made us laugh, and his deep love and affection for his children. He was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all. Relatives and friends attended a visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA followed by a funeral service in Michael’s memory on Saturday, August 4, 2018. He was laid to rest in a private ceremony.
