Fay Hellmers Wilson passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on September 1, 2016 at the age of 68. Born on November 21, 1947, she was the beloved daughter of Robert E. and Fay (Thurman) Hellmers. Fay married Warren Conrad Wilson on June 24, 1972 and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2012. Loving mother of Warren Conrad Wilson Jr. who preceded her in death on March 19, 2005. Fay was a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and was employed for over 30 years at the United States Department of Agriculture located at National Finance Center until she retired in January 2012. Fay was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She is survived and fondly remembered by her siblings, Roberta Cartaginese, Robert (Charlotte) Hellmers, Jr, and Kay (Ray) Brandhurst; grandchildren, Lauren B. Wilson and Laneigh W. Carmouche, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was well loved, a lotta fun, totally Bosch and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. Relatives and friends attended a visitation held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 9 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., which was followed by a celebration of her life. She was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
