Joseph Anthony Wagner, Jr. passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the age of 94. He was the beloved husband of the late Phina Carollo Wagner. Son of the late Joseph Anthony Wagner, Sr. and Virginia Diemert Wagner. Loving father of Phyllis W. Reeves and husband Billy, and the late Joseph A. Wagner, III. Loving grandfather of Lesley T. Wininger, Donald J. Bauer and Keith M. Bauer. Great-grandfather of Brandon Tucker, Caitlin Tucker, Tabitha Bauer, Tyler Bauer, Liam Bauer and Kyle Bauer. Brother of Shirley Callais and the late Carl Wagner, Ruby McMichael, Amelia Kreher, Lois Brinkman, Louis V. (Bo) Wagner and Myrna W. Fiorella. Also survived by Dorothy Bolden, assistant to and friend of Joseph, Phyllis and Billy. Many thanks to Azalea Estates. Joseph was a World War II Army Veteran. He was much loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A gathering will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street in Chalmette, LA, on Saturday, October 6, 2018, beginning at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
