Albert Carson Blake, of Carriere, MS., passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Susan Lombardo Blake for over 30 years. Father of Jamie Blake(Kristie), Alicia Blake and Candace Blake. Son of the late Carson Robert Blake and Willie Alberta Pangle Blake. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, Cody Sigsworth, Callie Sigsworth and Grady Clark, Mersaydes Hobdy and Madison Hobdy. A native of Knoxille, Tn., and a former resident of St. Bernard and St. Tammany Parishes, LA. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Phillipines and was a Sargent. He retired as a General Superintendent of the Mechanical Department of Norfolk Southern Railway after 31 years. Mr. Blake was a Member and Past Master of Germania Lodge # 46, F & A M. He served as Worshipful Master in 1981 and was a Master Mason for 40 years, 11 months and 11 days. Butch was a very enthusiastic Master and ascended the chairs rapidly. He proudly worked for the Norfork Southern Railroad for 31 years and in later years moved to Mississippi where he raised Tennessee Walker horses. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the many family and friends for their friendship and support over the last few years of his illness. Relatives and friends of the family attended the visitation and funeral services at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (In Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Interment with military honors in Southeast La. Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Road, Slidell, followed. Donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children, preferred, in lieu of flowers
