Reverend Milton Otto Martin, Jr., passed away on November 3, 2018 at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife Leona Lambert Martin, and his children Terri (Ron) Borison, Melba (Keith) Lay, Milton Otto (Danita) Martin, III, Monique (Sean) Libby, Kristi (Byron) Rivero, Ginger (Michael) Kenney; his 20 grandchildren, Jacob, Brennan, Logan, and McKenna Borison; Gene, Kassidy, and Avery Lay; Olivia and Milton Martin; Martin and Rayne Libby; Tera, Seleste and Talia Rivero; Michael, Evangelyn, Naomi, Elias, Valor and Jubilea Kenney; and one great grandchild, Carter Rivero. As well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Milton Otto Martin, Sr., and Joyce Aline Clark (Martin) and his siblings Brenda Manos, Kenneth Russell Martin, Louine Ritchey and Vicky Lynn Martin. He was the Bishop of the First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette, LA from 2009 to present. He served as Pastor of the First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette, LA from 1980 – 2009. He also was Pastor of the Georgiana Pentecostal Church in Georgiana, AL from 1978 – 1980. Before Milton Otto Martin, Jr. dedicated his life full time to ministerial service, he had a very successful career with Union National Insurance Company. A favorite scripture of his was, “Be ye kind one to another one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” - Ephesians 4:32. He ran with patience the race that was set before him, and he will receive a crown in glory that was promised to him by God Almighty. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at the First Pentecostal Church of Chalmette, 2015 Palmisano Blvd., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10 am.
