Rose Cobb Westberry was called to heaven while surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the age of 82. Rose, or “Mimi,” was born in Wilkinson County, GA, and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish, LA, until 2007, when she moved to Slidell, LA. Rose spent her final days surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the beloved daughter of the late John Cobb and Ruth Stubbs Cobb. Sister of Edith and the late Elizabeth. Mother of Cheryl Westberry, Terrell Westberry (Angel) and the late Gerald Westberry (Sally) and Darryl Westberry (Brenda). She was much more than a devoted grandmother to Alicia Harris (Bruce) and Ashley Stevens (Michael), raising and loving them as her children. She was the most loving and caring “Mimi” to Brennen, Alexa, Landen, Lillie, Lila, Megan, Melanie, John, Olivia, Landry, Kristina, Austin, Chad, Allyesia, Sarah and Jessica. Rose was the most thoughtful, selfless, and caring woman you’d ever meet and would give you the shirt off of her back. She was known as the Kool Kat Snoball Lady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 17, 2018.
