Della Mae Ray of Allen, TX, passed away January 23, 2019 at the age of 77. She was born on July 10, 1941 to Robert and Lorene (Jarrett) Myers in New Iberia, LA. Della graduated from Chalmette High School in Chalmette, LA. She went to work for Boeing and then Lockheed Martin, where she retired after over 20 years of service. Della married Walker Ray in 1987. Della is survived by her husband of 31 years, Walker Ray; three children, Michael Bruney (Shelley) of Anna, TX, Holly Ray of Baton Rouge, LA, Joel Ray of Albany, LA; three grandchildren, Brandy Bruney, Brittany Bruney-Britt (Justin), and Michael Tiger Bruney; great-granddaughter Blakely Britt; sister Barbara Myers Thibodaux; and other loving family and friends.
