Raymond LaFrance earned his wings on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the age of 86. He was husband of the late Lorraine Gerdes LaFrance and the devoted life partner of Lisa Naquin for 15 years. Loving father of Debbie Dalon, Ray LaFrance (Renee), Cynthia L. Bryant (Joe), Gail Guerra, Rhonda LaFrance (Johnny) and the late Troy LaFrance. Son of the late Remy and Odelia LaFrance. Proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters. Raymond was born the last of thirteen children on June 30, 1932 in New Orleans, LA. He was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Picayune, MS. Raymond was a dedicated tugboat captain and retired after many years of service. He wasn’t just our dad, he was our best friend. His daily calls just to ask about our day will be deeply missed. He loved tell us about his trips to the casino with Lisa and how she won and they would eat the buffet. It was the simple things that he liked most. Rest in peace and fly high with momma, Troy and Ricky. Relatives and friends attended a visitation and funeral service held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W.
