Helen Costello passed away on the morning of Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at the age of 86. She was born in Triumph, LA, and resided in Chalmette for most of her life. She was the devoted wife of the late Herbert “Herbie” Costello, the loving mother of Tammy Costello Carlisle, and the grandmother of Lee, Shawn, Robbie, Ashley and Kelley Carlisle. She was the great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren. Helen was the daughter of the late Louis and Melanie Denesse Ancalade. Sister of Kenneth Ancalade, Leatarice “Lou” Dennis, Beluah Meglico, Thomas Ancalade, Marie Pears, Larry Ancalade and the late Manuel Ancalade. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends of the family attended Services at Serenity Funeral Home on Monday, October 24.
