Constance “Connie” Ann Corne Sensebe passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Chalmette, LA, at the age of 88. Connie was born on October 21, 1932 to the late Michel “Mike” J. Corne and Inez Morales Corne and was a lifetime resident of Chalmette, LA. She was preceded in death by her companion of 48 years, Earl J. Maranto, siblings, Charles M. Corne and Jacqueline C. Hoffmann, granddaughter, Brooke M. Whittington and great-grandson Jason D. Swindler, Jr. She is survived by four daughters, Susan Happel (Richard), Patrice Poucher (Robert), Michele Blum (Kenneth) and Joni-Lynn Brown (Daniel); eleven grandchildren Christopher, Chad and Steven (Lauren) Happel; Scot (Allyss) and Jeff Poucher; Jason Swindler, Kevin (Natalie) and Kaitlyn (Lance) Blum; Matthew and Andrew Whittington and Ashley Brown; eighteen great-grandchildren, Christian, Alyssa, Olivia (Michael), Cole, Ella and Ryan Happel; Sara Upton, Norah and Elin Poucher; Ariana and Ayden Swindler, Jacob, Aubrey and Layla Giroir and Benjamin Blum; Andrew, Jr. and James Whittington and Dustin Brown; and one great-great-grandchild, Michael Delise. She will be greatly missed by her family and loving friends. The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice, especially Cindy, Emily and Robbie. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA 70043 on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation at the church will begin at 10 a.m. Inurnment will immediately follow at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457.
