Anita Favaloro McShan passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, comfortably at home after a long, courageous battle with cancer at the age of 70. Anita was born in New Orleans, LA, to Frederick and Elizabeth (Putz) Favaloro. She was the middle child of five and was more into playing ball and cutting grass than dresses and makeup. She was married to her loving husband, Les, for 48 years. After graduating from St. Joseph’s Academy and LSUNO with a degree in Business, she worked in the offices of several New Orleans businesses, including Seyler-Favaloro Ltd., where she was the office manager for over 20 years. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. For the last eight years, she enjoyed being a grandmother more than anything else. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth. She is survived by her husband, Lessley; son Kevin; daughter Lauren Tucker (Matthew); sister Mary Beth Gulotta (Dominick); sister Marjorie Hecker (Larry); brother Frederick Favaloro, Jr. (Janell); and brother Michael Favaloro (Nancy). She will always be remembered and loved by her grandchildren, Kennedy Blake McShan and Brennan Matthew Tucker, and her bonus grandchild, Cayden Michael Arnold. She was the aunt of 18 nieces and nephews, and the great aunt of many more. She loved and touched everyone deeply. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., in Chalmette, from 9 A.M. - 11 A.M. A Memorial Mass will be held in her memory at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
