Betty Ann Ross Caminita passed away peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Caminita. Loving mother of Celeste Tregle (Greg), Rose Binder (David) and Stephanie Fuller (Robert). Daughter of the late Audrey Mattel Mercier and John Ross. Stepdaughter of Albert Mercier. Proud grandmother of Brianne St. Amant (Teddy), Scott Tregle (Mandi), David Binder (Tasha), Tyler Binder (Abigail), Jenna Tillman, Travis Tillman (Gabby) and Raymond Fuller. Great grandmother of Quinn St. Amant, Shaw Tregle, Grey Tregle, Sophia Binder, Amelia Binder, Kevin Howard, Aurora Tillman and 3 more great grandchildren are to be welcomed soon. Betty was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Covington, LA. She retired from a long career with Emory Ocean Freight and also enjoyed working and volunteering with the Archdiocese of New Orleans. She found pleasure in the details of everyday life and caring deeply for others. Betty will always be remembered for her loyalty and dedication to her family, her caring and loving spirit, her laughter, and spoiling the grandchildren. She was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all. Services for Betty will be respectfully private. She will be laid to eternal rest with her beloved husband Raymond in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are required.
