James E. Miller, born on February 18, 1939 in Brewton, AL, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the age of 82. He moved to New Orleans, LA and lived in the city before moving to Violet, LA, after Katrina he moved to Houston, TX, where he lived with his daughter Joann. James leaves to cherish his memories three beloved children, Joann C. Williams, James Chandler, Leona Chandler; and one sister Marilyn Bienemy. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents Alvin Miller and Lucille Miller; one son Harold Chandler; three sisters Dorothy Lafrance, Sara Miller, Myrtle Payne; two brothers Robert Miller, Lee E. Miller, and Dorothy V. Chandler (the mother of his three children). Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Ave., New Orleans, LA at 10 a.m. Visitation from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Officiant: Rev.
