Patsy Marie Lafrance Pannagl

Patsy Marie Lafrance Pannagl passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Houma, LA, at the age of 86. She was born in New Orleans, LA, on April 13, 1935 to Edna Doane Lafrance and Albert Curt Lafrance Sr., and raised in Plaquemines Parish. Patsy was the loving mother of Patti Lou Pannagl, Louis Curt Pannagl and Sammi Pannagl Spence. Proud grandmother of Morgan Spence Alford (Justin), Sydney Pannagl, Lindsey Spence and Christian Pannagl. Sister of Fay Lafrance Erwin (late John), Lanny Lafrance (Jean) and Linda Lafrance Fernandez (late Ronnie). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Albert Curt Lafrance Jr. (Trudy) and Arthur Lee Lafrance Sr. (late Lorraine), her nephew Marc Lafrance and her niece Kelly Erwin. Patsy devoted her life to raising her three children and worked as a secretary, finishing her career with Jefferson Parish Recreation Department after many years of dedicated service. She was a kind, caring, devoted mother, grandmother and friend who was blessed to have a large and loving family. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family and friends and lending a helping hand to others; she gave of herself freely and generously. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her greatest pride and joy were her four grandchildren. She will be forever remembered for her love of people, her infectious laugh and her sweet and sassy disposition. Relatives and friends attended a visitation and funeral service held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Patsy to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
