Richard A. Bordelon Sr. passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of Audrey B. Bordelon for 64 years. Loving father of Sharon B. Ripoll (Mitchell), Richard A. Bordelon Jr. (Lavonna) and Kenneth Bordelon (Brandy). Son of the late Peter J. Bordelon and Hazel Warner Bordelon. Brother of Lucille M. Bordelon and the late Jerry J. Bordelon. Proud grandfather of James, Scott, Lisa, Kazia, Kalie, Kyle, Kenneth and Kelsi. Great-grandfather of Ezera, Sadie, Aiden and Rick. Richard was born on November 11, 1935 in New Orleans, LA and was a lifetime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He proudly served in the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1955. Richard was a retired business owner and a 50-year member of Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 428. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor and especially his tall tales. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all of those whose lives he touched.
