Bridgett R. Calegan

Bridgett R. Calegan of Carriere, MS, passed away at her residence of 30 years, on Friday, December 17, 2021 at the age of 68. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 50 years Curt J. Calegan Sr.; four children and their spouses: Curt J. Calegan II (Brandy), Pamela C. Carroll (Jeff), Denise C. Weise (Allen), and Bryan P. Calegan; seven grandchildren: Christian (Dawn), Brittany (Seth), Dylan (Alexis), Jeffery, Andrew, Amanda, and Audrey; four great-grandchildren: Cayson, Harper, Tripp, and Cooper; her siblings: Sandra (Eugene Sr.), Elizabeth, Peter (Penny), Blanche (Timothy), Bernadette (Bruce), and Mary (Shawn); as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Lena Rodrigue; her granddaughter: Sarah Weise; her nephews: Cody Duhon and Eugene Montz Jr.; as well as her brother-in-law: Angelo Quaglino II. Bridgett was a native of Chalmette, LA. She loved and dedicated her life to her family and time spent with them. She was a devout Catholic. She attended St. Charles Borromeo church where she was a member of the choir and helped to establish a perpetual adoration. Bridgett was a former President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Chapter 6872 in Picayune, MS. More recently she was a parishioner of Annunciation Catholic Church in Bogalusa, LA. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She also enjoyed camping and was a member of the MS Allegro Chapter 95 Club. Bridgett was a selfless, caring, and loving woman who would always put others before herself. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but never forgotten. Relatives and friends of the family attended the visitation and Funeral Mass at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
