Sharon Pauline "Sherry" DeLange passed away peacefully January 20, 2022, at her home in Destrehan, LA, at the age of 74. She was born May 21, 1947, in Milwaukee, WI, to Harley and Sylvia Caprioli Sands. On November 19, 1966, Sherry married Gary DeLange in Milwaukee, WI. Recently, the couple celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary. In addition to her loving husband, Sherry is survived by her two daughters: Heidi DeLange of Destrehan; Pamela Schafer (Rick) of Erie, KS; son Jeffrey DeLange (Denise) of Chalmette; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers: James Sands (Rene) of West Allis, WI; and David Sands of Oak Creek, WI; plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brady DeLange and a great-grandson, Jacob DeLange. Sherry had worked in several secretarial positions in education and insurance before she retired. She was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and a member of the Ormond Garden Society. She also enjoyed going to Table Rock Lake with family and friends, loved music and attending concerts along with cooking and entertaining at home. Sherry had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile. She will be missed dearly by all that had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
