Deacon Frank William Rhodes, Jr., died on Thursday, September 14, at 8:40 pm at the age of 85. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Bernice Bonhagen Rhodes. He served as a Deacon for 22 years for the Archdiocese of New Orleans at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Chalmette, LA. until Hurricane Katrina. He then served as a Deacon in the Archdiocese of Baton Rouge at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, LA, where he retired. Deacon Rhodes was a proud Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass and visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
