Rose Marie Alphonso Gonzales Bottoms passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the age of 86. Daughter of the late Frank Alphonso and Marie Perez Alphonso, of New Orleans. She was the cherished wife of the late Troy L. Bottoms. Loving mother of Lisa Barnett (Leon), Richard Gonzales, Jr. (Willie Ann), Angelo Gonzales, Sr. (Debbie), and the late Jeromine Necaise and Douglas Gonzales. Grandmother of Rachel Barnett, Terry Pixley, Michael, Richard III, Angelo Jr., Robert, Christopher and Austin Gonzales. She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Philomene Geeck, Elenora Serigne, Delores Vaurigaurd, Theresa Doty, and Joseph, Thomas, Francis and Anthony Alphonso. An evening visitation will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St, in Chalmette, on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday, February 17, 2018 a visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a funeral service in Rose’s honor at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
