Adolph Andrew Gex, III went to be with Jesus on April 17, 2018 at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly McMillan Gex; his children, David A. Gex (Debbie) and Denise Gex Sercovich (George); his step-children Kim Soignier Roark (Mark), Jean S. Brink (Mark), and Fernie D. Soignier (Sue); his grandchildren, Courtney G. Lanza (Efrain) and Kaley G. Garcia (Tavo); his step-grandchildren, Amanda L. Roark, Ashleigh E. Roark, Mark E. Brink, Jr., Travis L. Brink, Brandi Soignier Matherne (Ethan), Brice Soignier, George Sercovich, Jr., Staci Sercovich and Misty Sercovich; his great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Isabella, Noah, Ethan, Carter, Isaac, and Nicole; step great-grandchild Kristen, step great-greatgrandchild, Luke; and his sister, Delores G. Brignac. He was predeceased by his beloved first wife, Billie Ashe Gex and by his sister, Leatrice G. Rodriguez. Adolph was a lover of life, and believed in living his life to the fullest. He was known to everyone around him as a “giver” and never withheld his love and support from those who needed it most. He loved dancing, and found a reason to dance whenever possible. He added spice to the life of those around him by sharing his love of cooking, and was never happier than when he was spending time with his beloved family and friends. Family and friends attended a visitation at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. in Chalmette, on Thursday, April 26, 2018. A Celebration of Adolph’s life followed. He was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
