Albert Frank Rodriguez passed away peacefully at his home in Chalmette, LA on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Ann Serpas Rodriguez; daughter Kim Rodriguez (Michelle); brothers Max Rodriguez (Eleanor), Norbert Rodriguez (Pipsie); sisters Shirley Rodriguez Donner, Charlene Alleman and Connie Howard. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and 2 four legged grandbabies Zoey and Baby. Albert was preceded in death by his father Frank; mother Hilda; sisters Theresa Rodriguez Lainer Pankau and Geraldine Rodriguez Pouyadou; brother Bobby Murray and son Albert Francis “Superman” Rodriguez. Special thanks to our friend and caretaker Rosie Pravata and the nurses and staff with Hospice Compasses. Albert was born on April 26, 1931 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was an avid fisherman & crabman who loved spending time with his family and never met a stranger. Albert was a United States Army Veteran and proudly served during the Korean War. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, May 24 and Friday, May 25, 2018 morning from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will begin at 9 a.m. He will be laid to rest with military honors in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA.
