Christopher “Chris” J. Schloegel passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the age of 57. Beloved son of the late Hermann Schloegel Sr. and Bernice Beauvais Schloegel. Brother of Vicky Hogan (the late Edward), Hermann “Buddy” Jr. (Josephine) and Eric Schloegel Sr. (Bonnie). Proud uncle of Andrea Hogan (Travis), Trent Schoegel Sr. (Katie), Eric Schloegel Jr. and Amy Daigrepont-Schloegel (Dana). Great uncle of Tyler Umfrey and Trent Schloegel Jr. Chris was born on March 3, 1961 in New Orleans, LA. He was a longtime resident of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Vicksburg, MS for the past 20 years. He graduated from the University of New Orleans in Mechanical Engineering. He was a former employee of Siemens and a current employee of Eaton for over 20 years. Chris was a model builder enthusiast, specializing in the Apollo space program. He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
